*ASUU And FG Meeting Did Not End In dead lock says ASUU President*

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has described the circulating news that Tuesday’s meeting with the Nigerian government ended in deadlock as untrue.


The union’s National Chairman, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, stated this on Wednesday morning in a telephone conversation with SaharaReporters.

It had been reported widely that the Tuesday’s meeting between the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government again ended without an agreement.

However, Osodeke said the viral news on Tuesday night about the outcome of the union meeting with the government was “NOT TRUE.”

He, therefore, urged the public to wait for details of the meeting which would be contained in a press release that would be out soon.


The report also has it that ASUU NEC will meet by 7 pm today to decide on whether to suspend the strike or continue.
